Hey Hook, are we going to have at least 1 game this series of your staff not allowing double digit runs?

Having a pitching coach who's last name is Hook is just bad juju.

Listening to the away crowd in our home stadium makes me sick.

I'm done with this one. The Cubs really poring it on our pathetic bull pen.

Better luck tomorrow.

Williams has been terrible. I don't know what they are going to do about this pen but the answer are not in the current version. Outside of Hader nobody scares anyone a bit.

Looks like the Cubs and Brewers have one decent relief pitcher between them.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

The Brewers now have a negative run differential for the season.

I switched to the Triple-A game for a respite and Keston Hiura promptly airmailed a throw to first base to allow the tying run to score.

I wonder if Jake Petricka is at the airport yet?

He gave up 3 hits, a walk and 2 runs in his first outing in San Antonio. So I doubt he's much, if any better than what we have.

Fields has to get a call soon. Just can't keep running Williams out there. Nelson still not ready is a killer. Burnes back to pen would be awesome.

A lot of bums in this bullpen. Our best pitcher besides Hader is a guy who throws a mean "change up" from his 80 mph fastball.

The sad thing is ... perhaps the three best arms at San Antonio - Zach Brown, Adrian Houser and Bubba Derby - have started the last three games and are unavailable. That means we're looking at guys like Petricka, Fields, Donnie Hart or Jay Jackson. Miguel Sanchez would be fun, though.

I’m all for giving Miguel Sanchez a chance this season. Seems to have good movement on his pitches.

This bullpen, outside of Hader, is a dumpster fire, right now.

I think I sense a strategy. Tire the Cubs offensive players out so much from running around the bases in the first two games, they have nothing left on Sunday.

Geenyus.

Arcia with a .772 OPS before this at bat. I'm good with that.
