I’m ok with the error call. He went two directions and spun in a circle and still touched the ball in the air. An MLB outfielder has to catch that.

Aside from having the bases loaded with a possibility for more runs this has been a big inning in terms of limiting the distance Lester can go tonight.

My 6 year just said "I hate this ump. He is terrible." we usually yell him not to use the word hate but it was hard to argue. He has been awful all game both ways

I loved how, a few innings earlier, Lester got a call that didn't even scrape the bottom of the zone according to ESPN's tracker. The announcer just laughed and said "well, I guess that hit the very bottom of the zone"

Grandal is one of those catchers where the defensive metrics just don't meet the eye test at all. I was all about improving the offense at that position, full disclosure, but I'm really not sure how much I'm really going to miss him next year.
