The Brewers have definitely never had a guy put up an 1.199 ops for a season, if Yelich stays on this pace.

1.200 has been done 20 times ever. Mostly by ruth and bonds. Thats rare air.

It's a different game now then back in the 80's. You look at what Yount, Moliter, etc. did and it's pretty much the equivalent of what Yelich is doing. Kind of like a house that cost $50,000 back in the 80's is worth five times that today.

I agree, but 1200 ops is still super rarified air. Trout hasnt done it. Harper hasnt. The last to do it was Bonds. We'll see.

Thames bomb. Shaw 2-hits. Uh oh. What are we going to complain about offensively? :laughing

Aguilar's batting practice.

Who needs to complain about the offense when we have the bounty that is our pitching staff?

I thought some of these metrics gave us the ability to compare players across generations. Is it OPS+ I'm thinking of?

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Very true. Good point

For the record I would have brought in Hader, and I don't understand why they don't. This will likely be the most pivotal moment of the game, just like the 5th was yesterday when we let it get away, and yet here we go.

I knew Posey was going to whiff there, I have that sinking ship on one of my fantasy teams, he has been worthless all season long.

I'm with you but how do you make it four more innings with this motley crew?? Exibit Z on why they need at least two more guys.

It's the 3rd worst offense in baseball, you'd think they piece it together, but they've sure been making them look like the '27 Yankees, no doubt.

If we get out of this mess giving up just one run, that is incredible.

Didn't work out well the first two games.

Albers looks like he’s lost 5-10lbs
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
