Welp...I guess that's one way to get Hiura back up if Moose misses time - probably the worst possible way though

That has the look of a broken hand and a long DL stint.

Fingers crossed that he can dodge that part of the bullet.

That would be absolutely horrible for this team if he misses any length of time. Moose has been a godsend to this lineup this year, and that have no one to replace that bat. Yeah, Hiura would probably come up, but he isn't going to match the production lost to a Moose injury. Likely not even close.

Holy crap you guys ... I get that the team is playing crappy right now, but that's baseball. The sky isn't falling.

I just don’t get this constant need to police how people react to games. It’s not just you doing it, it happens all the time here when people post negative thoughts about the terrible baseball they’re watching.

I'll agree with this statement. The IGT thread is for in game comments and thoughts. Makes perfect sense that when watching bad baseball, bad thought and comments will follow. It's the nature of fandom...

The Reds are scouring their minor league system for any scrub lefty they can find to shut the Brewers down in their two upcoming series. Though seeing that their right handers have shut down the Astros the last two nights they may not need lefties.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

MLB debut from a guy with a 5.15 ERA in Triple-A ... and he's shutting us down without a problem.

Shaw strikes out on 3 pitches ... that's unfortunately not surprising ...

well, I had hoped this game would not suck and I would be able to watch it. 0/2. There are quite a few players on this roster that just need to wake up. You can't just sit on your hands-it's something different every night and finding ways to lose. Boo. and boo again.

I third this motion. This is true of every single message board for every team I follow. If you don’t want to hear people venting their frustrations, stay away from game threads.

You do realize this is still a 1st place team, right? Read these IGTs and you'd think we're watching the Orioles. It gets grating after awhile. I know, I know ... just ignore it.

The biggest problem would be Shaw having to try and replace Moose's everyday production. That's what wouldn't even be close.

A first place team that is scuffling, and against teams they shouldn’t. These games are the ones that bite you later on.

I do hope that David Stearns is not of this opinion. He can't be fooled by that fact. This team is not very good.

That is obviously part of the negative equation as well. Yelich has been terrific this season, but Moose is arguably the team's MVP so far. He's having a career year in a career that's actually been very good. A rookie 2B and a scuffling 3B stand no chance of matching that.

Perez has been fine as a limited utility player, but one of the problems without Hiura is having him in the lineup every day against these LHP gauntlets. Perez is a decent guy to have off the bench, not to start daily on a good club.

I think there's a decent chance we just move on from him next year. His arbitration price tag is going to continue to get higher. He was fine to roster when he was making 500K but not for 5M, especially when he can't be optioned. Just replace his role going forward in 2020 with Dubon for the league minimum and have the ability to have a little more roster flexibility as well.

June is the soft underbelly of their schedule, and they are wasting it by playing uninspired baseball. The Cubs are on fumes after an extended stretch of games with very few days off to catch up to the Brewers in games played - this stretch was a golden opportunity to put some distance ahead of the Cubs in the standings and it's not happening. Perfectly fine to be frustrated as a fan right now despite them being in 1st.

LOL ... how long have you actually been a Brewer fan? Calling this team not good is an insult to the Selig-Preib years of futility.

Why does it matter that they’re in first place. You’re watching a singular game. Would you rather people just not post when they’re playing bad?

And yes, if it bothers you, ignore it. People shouldn’t kowtow to people that don’t like when others point out anything negative.

Do you think Orioles fans should never post anything positive in oriolefan.net game threads because they suck?

The thing that is maddening is the Giants series the pitching was the issue. Now the bats are gone. Good teams have something to hang their hats on. Not sure aside from hitting home runs this team does well. Tough.
