In your wildest nightmares could you imagine that this is the lineup we would have available to,us with our backs against the wall vs the Cubs in September?

Hopefully Shaw does well today because I like the guy and it is hard to read all the negativity. He helped this team the past two years and it's been hard to watch him this year.

I'm hearing Baez has a hairline fracture in his thumb and his season may be over.

You mean you saw it on twitter......

It’s been reported on the Cubbies website, seeing a hand specialist, don’t know how long he’ll be out.

Well considering we have 4 regulars injured I suppose it could be worse. It’ll just make getting to the playoffs all the more amazing.

If you told me Braun, Cain, Hiura and Moose were all hurt, yes, I could imagine that.

Curious, are there any umpires left in MLB that don't suck behind the plate?

I've not been a supporter of going to automated balls and strikes but this feels like its getting out of control

Shaw......sigh. I hate it when people post stuff like "they're not even trying" or "they're not showing any heart", because there's no way for us to know these things.... but his facial expressions and body language REALLY look like he doesn't want to be playing baseball right now. Just looks really frustrated, and I just think dude needs to be shut down for the year.

Shaw missed that Strike 3 by a good 6 inches. I don't think you can even tender him in 2020. He is beyond lost.

I don't think they have a choice.

The left side of the infield may need an overhaul in 2020. I don't think you can count on Moose being back, I don't think you can count on Shaw at all, and I think it's probably come time to move on from Orlando Arcia.

So we need a catcher, a thrid basemen, a shortstop, a right hand hitting first basemen (assuming they bring back Thames), and a left hand hitting CF. And that is just the offense.
