Not sure about his splits or the Cards hitters for that matter......but don't you kind of trust Suter against both righties and lefties right now?

Never thought of him as a platoon pitcher

Standing ovation for Lyles.. .....again!

Really a clutch outing tonight exactly when they needed it. I don't think it's too out of line to say that Lyles has been dang near this team's MVP since August.

We have won every single Lyles except a 1-0 loss in which he went 7 innings.

It's not that he can't, but like almost all LHP, he's better against lefty bats. With all your better RHP relievers available, they are probably better options. Plus Suter isn't far removed from a 3 inning outing.

Keep going with Lyles. He can throw 105. He did it for Pittsburgh.

If the margin were 5-2 I would consider letting it ride with a short leash but not at 3-2 with zero margin for error. Like most starters, he's far worse later in the game both this year and for his career.

Suter still in dugout so looks like he's unavailable

Some speculation in the Twittersphere that they may look to shuffle the rotation and give him some starts.

Insurance runs? Those only make you weak. Champions are grinders, and grinders win by only one run whenever possible.

How long do we keep having to hear about Freitas outstanding minor league season while waiting for him to hit just 1 ball hard?

At least Orf hit that game winning HR last year.

Frietas being.....Frietas.

Are we allowed to dub him FreitAAAAs yet?

I was told in no uncertain terms that he would solve all of the brewers problems vs LHP. Has this not been the case?

Arcia pumped the end of the season is coming up so his BA stays above .200 and his OPS will be above .600

I will be happy when Arcia is off the team.

When a player struggles as badly as Arcia, I'd like a little less playful enthusiasm and a little more grouchy self criticism. But Arcia plays with the looseness of a productive star, even though he's an easy out.
