Braves @ Nationals 12:38PM TBS (out-of-market only)

Pirates @ Cubs 1:20PM WGN

Reds @ D-Backs 3:10PM

Dodgers @ Mets 6:05PM ESPN

The DBacks are in the edge of extinction, but their schedule opens the possibility that they could finish like the Brewers did last year. I wouldn’t mind seeing them hang around close enough until they play the Cardinals next week.

 

My usual target for making the playoffs is 90 wins. Looking at the current standings and remaining schedules my current target is 89. The Brewers would have to go 10-4 to get there.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Wonderful to see the Pirates just laying down. I hope they do the same for us.

 

No Bell, No Stallings, No Marte, No Polanco, No Crick, No Archer, No Taillon, No Kuhl, there’s others missing too, but I’ll stop there.

 

Bell and Marte could be back for the crew series.

Guessing he’s out as long as Yelich. But we’ll see.

Rizzos xrays were negative but he’s having more imaging tomorrow. If he’s out the rest of the way it’s a tough blow. They’ve already lost Báez and gone through stretches without Contreras and many key bullpen arms.

What the pirates pulled this weekend was downright criminal

 

It’s stoll professional baseball. A division one college team would been more competitive

 

If I was mlb I would take away their game checks
