Wow, this defense is Capers' era bad. If they haven't improved, we aren't contenders. And there's no indication that they have. This is still a very poor collective unit.

This offense is absolutely loaded with speed and talent regardless of who the QB is. The Packers need to move the ball to keep the defense off the field and they haven't the last few drives. Not time to panic, but both sides need to tighten up.

They've spent like a zillion dollars upgrading the D and invested years of top draft picks in it. If Pettine can't get more out of the talent he's got, he's probably not going to end up being the right man for the job.

It is 17-14 and the last page of comments would lead one to think we are down 31-0. As a person who ripped this defense before the game, relax. This is a very fast and talented offense. We were not going to embarrass them. Gut out another tough road win and build on it.

At the very least it should be pretty obvious why many of us weren't willing to poo-poo over the troubling defensive performance last week despite the big win. It's a real problem.

Be very careful criticizing scheme in these parts. It's largely moot. If on paper a team is more talented, they will win regardless of what the scheme or culture is.
