His innings load wasn't even impressive last year. I don't get it.

I'm happy we lost. Nothing against Roark but I would have not liked that price tag.

 

I feel like we could get McHugh and Cishek for that price. Maybe not seeing how FA has gone thought.

A guy I would have looked at. But I wouldn't have went 2/$24 for. I would think my price range for him knowing that baseball inflation was back, still would have been $1/$10M or 2/$17M.

At some point teams aren't overpaying and this is what guys cost. If the Brewers sign anybody with name recognition prepare for it to be "overpayment."

The prices always go down as the offseason moves along (for these kind of players). Guys as good if not better than Roark will sign for a lot less.

For me it's not a matter of the years or price, I simply would not have wanted Roark for any price.

Tanner Roark is basically Chase Anderson. If we weren't going to pay Anderson, it wouldn't make any sense to do this sort of deal with Roark. Hopefully they are aiming higher ... although it can be assumed, I suppose, that they are also aiming cheaper.
