Hopefully those spasms are gone today. Another lefty for Braun to smash.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

On paper tomorrow appears to be a tougher matchup versus Brad Keller who has been pitching very well this year (with Lindblom pitching for the Brewers), so a win tonight seems important in terms of playoff hopes.

Yea. It sucks his body just can't t stay healthy. If only there was a substance people could take to help with the healing process. ;)

As long as he is reasonably healthy I expect Braun to play. This very well may be the end of his career, I doubt he wants to sit around trying to fully heal.

Wade Davis just got DFA.......how quickly you go from being one of the best in the game to not worth keeping around.

Looks like his contract is up at the end of the year so obviously he has no trade value.

At first glance, I swore that I just saw Vogelbach drinking a Miller High Life in the dugout and my first thought was, "that seems about right."

St. Louis riding Kim into the 6th at 100 pitches and it’s not working out well. They might need to squeeze an extra inning here and there with the amount of games they had to make up. Hopefully the Pirates can hold the lead now!

By my calculations if all scores hold true in the division the Brewers would fly up to #2 in the division with a slightly higher winning percentage than the Cards/Reds.

Pretty big game...and not much talk here.

Several of the games with NL playoff implications are trending the right direction, but most importantly the Brewers need to get the bats going in the second half of this game.

Just doesn’t feel like the end of the season. I heard on the radio that the Brewers had 10 games left and I was borderline shocked. I watch at least some of the game every night and had no clue we were this close to the end.

Wouldn’t the Reds still have a slightly higher winning percentage? And by slightly I mean less than half of a percentage point higher (.4906 versus .4902).

Either way it would be considered a tie in standings.

Disappointed the Pirates pulled Keller after only 84 pitches. Was he hurt? He didn’t give up a hit through 6 innings. Regardless of him being pulled the Cardinals still have a chance to join the Brewers in the dubious category of teams to go hitless in a game this week.

Edit: Of course the Pirates bullpen loads the bases in the 7th with no outs despite still no Cardinals hits (2 walks and a HBP).
