So if we scrape into the playoffs somehow, and Burnes is forced to miss a start, our chances of winning the first series, no matter who we match up with, just took a big time hit.

Yup, I stand by my previous statement, 2020 sucks.

In all likelihood Hiura would have a higher obp this season if he stood at home plate and did not swing the bat at all this season. He gets himself out more than any pitcher. It is amazing.

I can handled missing the playoffs this year, but I’m going to be really annoyed when they miss them by one game or by losing out on a tie breaker.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

I mean, Woodruff and Burnes in a 3 game series gives us a definite chance, but Woodruff/Houser, or Woodruff/Anderson, or Woodruff/Lindblom really just puts things into perspective if we find a way in...

Yeah. And to make matters worse, this team has been the ultimate tease all season long. You think they’re going to finally have their grave covered in dirt but they hang out just close enough to tease a playoff spot.

I'd also like to add that I can handle missing the playoffs too, but not at the hands of the freaking Cardinals...

I'd rather lose out to the Cubs than the Cardinals.

I still haven’t been able to find an exit velocity on Carlson’s home run (its not showing up on Savant). It couldn’t have been very good, it reminded me a lot of the fly out home run Woodruff gave up in Detroit.

They listed it at 105 on tv......didn’t look like it to me......only went 340 feet

Thats it for me.

Unless he picks up a couple of more MPH next season Knebels days as a high leverage arm are done.

Not enough movement at only 94 to get important outs.

Burnes could have pitched just about the game of his life and it wouldn’t have mattered because this offense is an embarrassment.

I get what you are saying, but had he pitched a perfect game, we would have won 1-0.

Just saying...
