2020-09-25, Game 1: Cardinals (Flaherty) at Brewers (Suter) [Brewers win, 3-0 -- Excellent start from Suter; Williams and Hader finish it off]

It wouldn't bother me in the least if I never see another Garcia at bat in a Brewers uniform... Edited September 25, 2020 by turborickey

I'm trying to be only optimistic today but one batter one missed play in the field is making it tough.

[vetter]

I won't say no to the playoffs.

But seriously, this season can't end soon enough.

When you choose to start Eric Sogard's noodle arm at 3rd, you get what you deserve.

Was going to ask what it takes to move him. Guessing we get a bag of baseballs and have to eat a chunk of salary along with it. I'm good rolling with Taylor, and with Cain back there's no place for Garcia.

27-29 really is remarkable with the injuries and underperformance so far. If this were a full season we'd be thrilled we didn't fall too far behind while waiting for our guys to regress to the mean.

[TURBO]

So strange that Sogard was relegated to serious bench time for a couple weeks, now CC just has to start him again.

I pray that he is not a Brewer next year, CC can't handle it.

[adambr2]

Nice way to help keep that pitch count down.

Don't feel like we've really gotten hit by the injury bug more than anyone else. It's just been guys falling way short of expectations.

You're right. I probably overstated the injuries.

Vogelbach has been such a nice surprise.

[PinaMadness]

Just about anyone else beats that out.

[Ron Robinsons Beard]

99% of MLB players beat that swinging bunt out, but Gyorko is constantly running in quicksand.

[vetter]

Gyorko swing turned into a defacto bunt which actually advanced the runners.

[TURBO]

Well, that hit ought to cement at least another year of Sogard.

Nerd Contact is on a roll

[markedman5]

Sovard with an rbi single....’much to the dismay of many......

[bm1090]

For as bad as Sogard is he sure comes up with some big hits.

[markedman5]

Small ball.....contact play worked!

[bm1090]

No way Arcia puts that in play last season. Thrilled with his change in approach this year. Probably had a play at the plate though.

[MrTPlush]

Huge to get out front early...hopefully we can build it even bigger.

[PinaMadness]

Narvaez is trash.

[bensheeps]

Putting the ball in play is fun. We should do that more often.

I'd be ok with Sogard back in a utility role next year. Not at $4.5 million though. Jace Peterson makes the minimum, and they are basically the same player.

[bm1090]

How far can we push Suter if he is effective? Is one time through the order his limit?

[markedman5]

Nice inning after we take the lead......let’s get a few more.
