Yeah, I've tried to be on the Bickford bandwagon but this is reminiscent of his MLB debut. He might just be one of those guys that just cannot mentally handle the pressure at this level.

That was heading into the night. With their 8-for-31 hitting performance tonight they actually raised their season batting average to .211. Progress!... although still last in the NL. Ahead of the Indians, Yankees, and Tigers though, which seems surprising considering those teams have the DH in place of pitchers hitting. There are 8 MLB teams with a worse BABIP than the Brewers, unfortunately the Brewers are second worst in baseball in strikeout rate (now nearly 29% for the season) behind only the Tigers.

Unfortunately it appears that Thames suffered a ruptured Achilles his his game yesterday. Huge bummer for him.
