I just don’t get how Yelich just fell off a cliff. Either he is hesitant from the knee or his back is a major issue.

 

Wasn’t his rise during the launch angle/juiced ball time?

 

Maybe his swing benefitted from tha, but has just tanked with the ‘unjuiced ball’.

 

I was looking up his stats on baseball savant. In 2018/2019 he had a massive chunk of ‘no doubters’, big decline last year, and zero of his homers this year are classified as ‘no doubters’

 

He ain’t hitting them and it appears they aren’t clearing the fence by as much these days.

Same issues as last year so it all points to knee. I know he’s working extremely hard but seems he doesn’t trust the knee or have confidence in it. That or he’s suddenly lost the ability to barrel the ball up at all.

I know the numbers don't bear it out, but man it just feels like we've struggled against lefty starters. Miley having little trouble with us tonight.

 

Miley is truthfully painting the zone tonight. Sanchez has missed location infinite times more than Miley's 0. Not one meatball pitch by Miley. Of course he's been awarded a few Ks as well but occasional non-calls evens it out.
