How’s the Giants bullpen because we’re not doing crap against Webb.

The Giants have a very strong bullpen.

Given the state of the Brewers staff, they aren’t going to want to get in bullpen battles with the Giants.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I don't get why they can't hit this guy. He's got average velocity and pretty average stuff.

I mean, he's been pretty good this year. 3.33 ERA and a 3.34 fip in 14 starts. It's not like he's some schlub who hasn't had any success this season.

I get that but he certainly doesn't wow you with a big arm or ridiculous stuff.

I expect this series is going to look like this--close games, low-scoring.

Brewers have the starting pitching edge, but going to need timely BP outings and clutch hitting to scratch out a win or two.

Best case scenario is that series in San Diego...

Well, we aren't the only team that's struggled against him.

Leone has given up just 1 total hit over his last 7 appearances (6.1 IP), but he does walk some guys (including 5 BB over that same span).
Not just “at Night” anymore.

The offense is going to have to step it up if the Brewers are going to get through these next two weeks. They don’t have the horses in the bullpen to win games with only 1 or 2 runs scored, especially once they have to start plugging in emergency starters.

The Brewers are really going to be in a tough spot if they use Boxberger and Williams in a loss.

Guessing the plan is:

Box, Williams, Suter...assuming they can stay tied or take the lead. Maybe Curtiss factors.

EDIT: Sanchez isn't a terrible option either, for the tenth if it gets there.
