New site roundup - questions & suggestions here

This is so much better.  The site was awful with a white background and navigating it was even worse with the white background with the gray text.

Dark mode must be the new white and gold vs. blue and black dress thing. I don't get the appeal and a quick google search seems to indicate it isn't good for your eyes either. I think the site looks great as is (although I will agree that it could be a "little" more condensed). That said, glad there are solutions for those who like it!

I don't like that I have badges on my profile stating that I've visited the "Minnesota Twins" forum, or posted in the "Minnesota Twins" forum, or other related false accusations.  I wish to remain completely separate from everything related to Minnesota Twins baseball.

Funny thing is you couldn't visit or post over there if you wanted to. Not with a BF.com account. You'd have to make a new account there or be an anonymous lurker.

Ah, I missed some dialogue settings there when I imported the rules. It should be fixed now, let me know if there is any more mention of the Twins.

It appears the off topic forum is only visible if you are signed in.

Yeah, I had to do that in preparation if our advertisers were going to take issue with the off-topic forum. It turns out they didn't so I can flip it back to normal now.

Is there a way to turn off the automatic double-spacing when you hit return?

I just learned if you hit shift-enter, it'll single space.

I wish there was some kind of delete feature.

The way the pages jump around as the ads load I have accidentally hit a quote button on a post I didn’t mean to quote, and there doesn’t seem to be any way to edit that out or delete it.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Agreed. That aspect has made this site nearly unusable.

I'm not sure if it's my phone or the site but whenever I click to go to the next page in a thread, it'll go to the next page but stay at the near bottom of the page, nessatating scrolling back up to the top.

Yeah, this only recently appeared, it's on my bug list. Dunno why it only works half the time.

Suggestion: When clicking the "Mark Forum As Read" button that it also takes you back to Home. Would eliminate a step.

Would like to bump this suggestion. Totally understand there are bigger priorities and would amend the suggestion to take you back to the forum main page instead of the site home page (which didn't exist in its current form at the time).

Okay, so clicking a forum as read takes you to the front news page? I'm just making sure I understand your preference.

Right now clicking the forum as read just refreshes the current sub forum you are in with all topics read. Logically if your marking it read you're done reading that sub forum and are ready to navigate to a different sub forum, but first you have to click back to the main forum landing page. I'd be great if marking a sub forum read just took you directly there. https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/

Hope that makes sense.

Yeah, it sure does. I don't know when I'll get to this but I'll definitely add it to the list of future changes.
