Back to back 10+ strikeout games for Lauer. Very impressive, per Will Sammon his career high in a game entering this season was 9.

Right now he's a 0.0 WAR player.  His defense is just enough to offset his atrocious offense and make him a replacement level player still.  I don't think he can play D good enough over the course of a season well enough to offset a .450-ish OPS, but he's still productive with the glove, and like you said, it's enough of a plus that they'll give him some time.
