Game Thread (5/09/2022): Brewers (Woodruff) at Reds (Castillo) - 5:40 PM CDT

Can’t afford too many of them against good teams and/or  good pitchers. 
 

The runs aren’t as easy to come by as they are against back end starters and in bullpen games. 

The good thing is that they've all been solo ones with the exception of Hoerner's opening day two run shot against Burnes. They also have not been guys who have been homer prone in their careers, especially Burnes (post-2019). So, not too worried...

Taylor must have felt guilty about Castillo not getting the call on what looked like strike 3 so he decided to swing on ball 4 a foot inside. 

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I don’t think they’re going to get 85-90 pitches out of Castillo. He looks to be laboring now.

The zone has been getting smaller the last couple of innings.

It was a scorcher right to the right fielder who didn’t have to move.
