Umpires are getting worse at calling balls and strikes.  Yikes a ball completely in the strike zone called a ball.

Another game, another bad strike zone from the umpire. Why are we still acting surprised?

I'm more surprised that there a lot of people that want to keep the human element in the game !

Burnes is pitching and the Brewers have 2 hits over 6 innings.  Well there's a surprise.

To be fair, they've faced some really good pitchers over the last few Burnes starts. Fried and Lopez are awesome, and other lineups are struggling against them just as much.

It’s like they’ve never seen a change up before

It's one of the best ones in the majors. Sometimes you face good pitchers in this league.

Lopez is very good.

Umpires need to be re-educated on what the strike zone is according to the rule book, not just have your own personal one. They also like to say they are not fooled by the catcher’s frame but it’s pretty obvious they are.

Screw the reeducation and just take things out of their hands with an automated strike zone.

I think you’re fooling yourself if you, or anyone for that matter, think roboumps will solve everything. I really don’t trust the technology to be accurate and I can guarantee there will be unintended consequences.
