Hiura against a righty again. Man it's brutal what is happening.

Somebody has to at some point ask Counsell about this don't they?? The crazy thing is I could see them sending him back to the minors when everyone gets healthy.

Good to see Hiura hit. Before that the only “positive” to take from this otherwise dreary game is that Woodruff’s injury might not be as bad as I feared when I saw him call the trainer out.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

If they do, we riot. I'm only half-kidding.

It is pretty mindboggling that a guy who roughly has an .850 OPS against RHP and .575 versus LHP for his career is platooned against LHPs.

Please take note CC....Hiura can hit better against RHP than LHP. It's a no brainer.

Whoa wait a minute. You on board with Hiura playing?? What gives?? You called me crazy to even bring him back.

I'm struggling to support him, but I'm trying. As long as he doesn't play aganst LHP.

Why are you struggling?? We want the guy to hit don't we?? You should be stoked. Even if it's to build back some trade value it's good to see him hitting.

Hiura has also equaled his home run total from last year in almost a quarter of the at-bats. What we are seeing now I believe is a continuation of his hot spring and a byproduct of his swing adjustments, specifically, the reduced leg kick. No reason he shouldn't be DHing instead of McCutchen against RHP now.

I'll never be "stoked", not with his irratic hitting and fairly high strikeout rate. But ya, anything to help his trade value.

I thought the Brewers were big on analytics. What's the deal with their use of Hiura?

On a related subject, I'd be a lot happier if McCutchen was on the pace for 375-425 AB, playing against all LHP, but only some RHP.
