It is wild that a first place team in any situation is playing Hiura and Davis together in the outfield. It is truly an indictment of the organization. They have drafted a ton of outfielders over the past 6 years including a top five pick. Not much besides Taylor to show for it.

Other than Hiura and Taylor we have no home grown position players.

Another brutal ab by Cutch.

Have you noticed that he has played every single game he has been available. If we trade for an outfielder I wouldn’t be against waiving McCutchen altogether.

We have traded some home grown talent for even better talent, though ... Brinson for Yelich, for instance.

No!  He still has MVP-caliber in him waiting to bust out!

We didn’t draft Brinson either.

Fair enough, BUT he was in our farm system.  I don't know what we traded to get him in our farm system ... was it one of our home-grown players?

Even accounting for a 3 for his last 19, McCutchen has an .884 OPS the last month. He's not going to get waived. Whatever fate has in store for the Brewers, it's going to be with Andrew McCutchen on board.

The Brewers should make an offer to Nick Kyrgios!

He can really slam a ball!

He won't get nearly as tired playing baseball, either!

That guy is an idiot

At least Lauer made it through 5 without completely putting the team out of the game.

But it’s hard to ignore that the team as currently structured is not the team we were hoping to see at the start of the season or, for that matter, at the end of May when they hit the high water mark over .500 for the season. There are a lot of fingers in the dike and it may be hard to keep the water out.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

He’s going to play every day and hit at the top or middle of the lineup and it’s one of the many reasons why this lineup is the worst amongst the contending teams.

Good thing we play in a division with one other mediocre team and three others that are terrible.

I understand that we are once again “waiting” for a few players to return (Taylor & Renfroe) … I still wish - assuming we plan to make a trade at the deadline - that we’d done so EARLY as the last month we’ve played mediocre baseball against several weak teams while biding time & defending that decision with “its a long season” & losing several winnable games (both Burnes & Woodruff starts in the last week)

No, it is not the worst. Padres, Rays, etc.
