Hiura is going to be benched for two weeks after this display.

I'll agree with you that he needs to play every day for now, and that the onus is on CC to find him playing time.

if Keston doesn't get a shot every day - at this point - it registers as a fireable offense

Ha, fireable OFFENSE (like this team has more often than not)

Rogers is warming up.

I’m surprised unless Bush is unavailable.

At least he will now have more than a one run lead.

I would say that Hiura is making a case for more playing time.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Post-game Interview:

Sofia: Craig, I asked awhile ago about Keston's playing time and you condescendingly indicated that you were putting the best team to win out there.  So today my question is - do you have your head shoved up your ass?

Let's face it: this has been a horrible series.  The Cubs are an intriguing group of young talent.  Tenacious.  I really have to give it to them.

Cubs are scrubs!

Flubs and drubs!

Brews were on a snooze

Let's not confuse!

Thank goodness the organization didn’t give up on Hiura while his stock was low. Still has unlimited potential at the plate.

He would be on par with the best hitters in the league if he can ever figure out how to at least spoil that high fastball on a consistent basis. Has crazy hands and bat speed though.

Counsell is dying on the inside with Hiura having a 2 HR day.

I doubt that, but he now has to figure out who sits the next few days to give him more ABs.

They will be seeing two lefties in LA.

Keston is scalding the ball too - this new closed stance let’s him trust his hands and bat speed. As he should. Happy for the guy. - hopefully CC is over his stupidity haha

They are pretty pesky, Johnny.

I agree & own the fact that I was a vocal opponent … glad there are people smarter than me baseball-wise running this organization

It would be such a win if Hiura plays well through the end of the season & is our 2023 DH

Keston was a CF in college. Maybe he's the answer there for now. Ok, while true I don't think anybody would want to see that. He still absolutely has to play somewhere every day.
