Taylor has definitely been overexposed this year as a starting CF. Don’t see much reason why Ruiz isn’t already called up, given he’s currently on the 40-man roster. (Wouldn’t need an addition like Turang or Frelick, though I wouldn’t mind seeing them up in September.) Might as well see what he might be able to produce. Can still keep Taylor as the 5th outfielder.

Would definitely be nice if they were asked about it but our media is basically all brewer employees so....

Sometimes there's good pitching and sometimes it's just awful at bats.  They're missing meatballs right out over the plate.

At this point I would hit Huira 3rd.

I'll go out on a limb and say the Brewers won't gain any ground tonight.  Doesn't matter if they win, the Padres won't blow their 6-0 lead in the 3rd (they seem to be able to score runs against a crappy KC team) and the Phillies will outlast the Pirates.

You can't even bunt them over because the next man is a guaranteed strikeout so what can you do??

Well we wait for a Passed ball, balk, WP or Error (only the error requires the Brewers make contact).

So there's a good chance of falling farther behind.

I'm optimistic the Spring Training lineup the Cubs are fielding won't score tonight.

They might only need one and if they let Milner faces Contreras they will get at least one.

Both ab Anderson is talking like McCuthen has been so much better than expected the Brewers have had to play him more than they thought. Imagine that.

I guess they thought they'd pay $8M for replacement level performance? I guess when you're paying Yelich $24M then McCutcheon seems like a steal.

Caratini is 1 for 17.

Tell me again why Feliciano should not get a look.

You don't get those Apple bites playing rookies over vets.

Caratini is another example of the Counsell school of gritty vets. Counsell remembers being allowed to hang on for dear life to a spot despite being no good. He is extending the same courtesy to multiple guys.

Exactly. He was signed to be a full-time player. They were never going to pay a guy $8 million to hit against lefties only. Again one of the reasons I'm really starting to hate BA. I just can't take announcers saying incredibly stupid things and he's doing so with alarming frequency lately. At least to my ear,

With all of them in the lineup tonight, I'd be surprised if any were called up tomorrow.

Don't worry, Taylor is about due for his once a fortnight home run.

I haven’t been to a game since Covid. I see Amy still wears a mask.  For those that go to games, are masks still pretty common?

Sure weren't at last weeks Packer game. Barely saw any.

Mark A is such a nerd. The fact that he thought signing Andrew McCutchen to a one year deal was stretching the payroll is just weird.
