The people quitting on a team 2 games out of the playoffs at the end of August should be put in a time machine and sent back to 1993 so they can "enjoy" 15 years of garbage baseball.

Actually those 15 years were more enjoyable than this year. I'd take that deal any day.

33-41 in our last 74 isn’t exactly entertaining baseball.

If you can't enjoy a playoff race where the outcome is not yet known, you might want to find something else to do with your September.

Yeah, they're flawed & imperfect.  They also still might make the playoffs.  You decide if that's enough for you

So going into a season with no hope of making the playoffs is preferable to 2022?

Agreed. Even though we knew they weren’t going to make the postseason, individual games were entertaining as there was a chance that the offense would put up enough runs.

No hope of those years > false hope of the last few seasons. These seasons have been extremely disappointing. That wasn’t the case back then.

They're only two games out because of the ridiculous new system where mediocre or bad teams will get in the WC.

With Burnes, Woodruff, and Peralta if this team makes the playoffs anything can happen.

Look at the Dodgers rotation. Does Tyler Anderson, Andrew Heaney, Julio Urias, and Tony Gonsolin scare you?

You've got a team in the race with a month to go.  This is the essence of entertaining baseball

They're about as much "in the race" as the Herb Kohl Bucks were when it came to the playoffs. Watching this team is like pulling teeth. They've got 83 runs in August with 33 HRs. That's pathetic. They are the definition of an all-or-nothing team. They are allergic to consistent, situational hitting.

Anyone that watched the last Dodgers series knows the true state of this franchise. The best window in franchise history to make a play has slammed shut and we need to focus on getting as much back as we can for Burnes, Woody and Peralta, amongst others.

Yes, and everyone else on this board agrees except you.

Now do their batting lineup...

This is as accurate as anything I've seen here tonight.

I was going to make the same comment about the Bucks. 7 times we made the playoffs with 42 wins or less. Was I ever excited or entertained by that? No.

Considering everyone of Heaney, Urias, and Gonsolin has a better ERA than Burnes.......yes.

The only problem with that take is that Brewer staff has to pitch to Dodger hitters and the Dodger rotation only has to face the AAAA Brewer hitters.

According to Counsell he read Freddy's body language and decided he was done. No lie.

They should put a camera in the bullpen so Counsell can read bullpen pitcher body language before letting them blow games.

I do not agree with you. This season is way more fun than watching Glendon Rusch throw 200 innings.
