I know he won't be eligible for the postseason roster (if we make it there), but it also might be time to consider calling up Sal Frelick if Mitchell continues to struggle at the plate. Rooting very hard for Mitchell, and he provides tremendous defense, but Frelick is clearly a more advanced offensive player right now. 15 walks versus 9 strikeouts at a .376/.460/.468 clip in 109 at-bats in AAA....

I doubt they want to burn an option on Mitchell for a few weeks of Frelick…..knowing that he could also struggle in his initial call,up.

He could struggle, like any prospect experiencing their first taste of the majors, but he's also a more advanced hitter than Mitchell who's now done all that he can at the minor league level.

I don’t disagree……but they had a choice to make when they called Mitchell up and they made it……don’t think we will see Frelick until next season.

I imagine the next mive that is made will be Brosseau up and Ruiz back down…..since his option for this season has already been used.
