The Cardinals offense is going to be so much better than ours. It’s depressing to think about. Luckily their starting pitching doesn’t look so hot.

Yep, they are basically the inverse of us, great offense but poor pitching

All the bad stuff from last year wrapped into 1 game. 

Bases loaded 1 out= Weak double play

Pitching good except 1 blowup inning

Offense= Way to streaky (or just none)

Eh, it's one game.  It wasn't a particularly good game but there were some good things.  I thought Burnes was really in deep trouble after the 3rd inning catastrophe and he was right back out there after the offense lasted about 15 seconds in the top of the 4th.  He responded really well to at least get through 5.  Good debuts for Turang and Varland, I was so happy for Gus to get out of that jam. I really liked what I saw of Guerra.  I was happy to see Contreras look a lot better than what I thought he might show behind the plate.  Certainly looked better than Gomes yesterday anyways.
