Anyone who wanted to face the Marlins must be forgetting:

Brewers first-round playoff record vs. NL East? 0-3 (2-7 all games).

Brewers first-round playoff record vs. NL West? 2-0 (6-2 all games).

May the trend continue.

I just have to say it was a fun year. Frustrating at times, but still really fun. You win 90+ games - it's gonna be fun.

Let's keep winning. We have the arms to shut down anyone. Exciting.

The good news is if they score four runs there is a pretty good chance they'll win the game

The bad news is if they give up four runs there's a pretty good chance they lose the game.

The more good news is if they give up four runs they still won 26 games this year where they gave up four or more runs

Fixed!

How cool would it be if the Brewers had everything wrapped up but the Cubs needed to win the series against the Brewers and couldn't do it? Almost as cool as seeing a 3/4 empty Cardinals stadium in September.

It would be very cool.

This team won 92 games this year. Yet there are Debbie Downers in the Optimism Thread (the one thread where that type of attitude is kinda off limits)? Sheesh.

Hey man, they are just being REALISTIC.

Feel this thread needs some love right now...

Wouldn't be the cardiac crew for nothing eh?

Peralta has been better than Burnes, and Zac Gallen has been struggling. It'll be 1-1 heading into tomorrow, where Wade Miley will bamboozle the dbacks

Easy peezy

We got the worst pitcher out of they way, now the two aces to carry it on

I genuinely believe this offense has shown it can handle top pitching well, but to pull this off they'll need to win a tight game and a blowout game. Get an early lead and stick em

Everything is pointing on paper to us losing tonight...so all we have to do is win big. It would be a very 2023 Brewers thing to do. Staying positive. :)

We are still in the playoffs!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Long-term optimism: The Brewers are indisputably the best-run team in the Central right now, and the farm system is stocked with talent. That, and the potential return on a Burnes deal, has me feeling quite good about where this team will be through the next several seasons.

Short-term optimism: Today's the day Freddy Peralta goes from young, fun, energy guy to Milwaukee legend.

I had 13 victory beers waiting in my fridge for this postseason run, and they’re all going to taste delicious tonight as I drown my pain!

In all seriousness, though, please drink responsibly.  The world is a better place when you’re all in it, and I mean that sincerely.  See you for some more optimism in 2024!

We still had a better 2023 than the Cardinals and Cubs!
