I've been over this before. Nobody will be able to ever convince me that his downfall wasn't because of what Yu Darvish said. If it was his knee his speed would've suffered too.

That whole period of guys banging on trash can etc is questionable. Until he breaks back out of it I'm going to say yeah it looks shady.

Steele completely shut down the Brewers offense and Montgomery is well on his way to doing the same thing. They did get to Peterson.

Until shown otherwise, though, lefty starters continue to look like a weak spot for the Brewers offense.

Which is why I advocated for the Brewers to pick up Kyle Garlick on waivers instead of allowing him to go back to the Twins as a minor leaguer.

This doesn’t solve anything, though. Yelich is still a capable baseball player and the Brewers are paying his salary no matter what.

The team is likely 6-2 after tonight. Let’s take a deep breath together. 162 games.

I agree. Last year, Yelich hit .250. That's not worth his contract, but it's serviceable. We could be doing (and have done) a lot worse at his position.

And let’s couch that with the fact league average BA was something like .240 last season.

Here is my crazy theory. I don't think he crouches as low as he did before the injury, and as a result he tops a lot of his hits. What kind of nut downloads and compares before-and-after pictures, I ask you?

I think it's more a matter of finding what roll he can have that maximizes what he can still offer.

The days of him hitting 3rd through 5th need to end though.

I'm not sure it was such a terrible decision. It was the injury. He hasn't been the same since.

They gave him that contract before seeing how he would come back from the injury.

A .250 hitter with no power and below average defense in left field is in no way serviceable.

That's what I have learned tonight. After his 2019, I might have done the same thing. I mean, he was really great, and I would figure he would come back 100 percent from that particular injury.

Remember when this fanbase melted down when Voit opted out? Wonder if they feel the same way now when he's been our worst hitter.

Well if you pull up Savant. Yelich's sprint speed in 18&19 was 28.6ft/sec and 28.7ft/sec.

3 years after? 28.1, 28.3, and 28.1 ft/sec. So his speed was effected.

I'm sure he'll be DFAd before the season's over.

My comments have nothing to do with our record after tonight

Yelich is no longer a good player … we can have a different opinion

I will ask kindly - please stop suggesting that I take a deep breath

If you are bothered by my posts - stop reading them or go watch the Twins

I don’t need a dad

I like Guerra. I think he's going to have a really good year for us.

Sure, if you like popping Rolaids like they're Pez.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave
