After seeing the Giants sneak out late-inning wins against the Twins, last night's clean win by the Brewers was enjoyable. Let's do that again and make some hay against a mediocre San Francisco squad.

Anybody know who's pitching for the Crew tonight?

I think it's likely Teheran with the major league contract, they're just waiting for who to move on the 40 man (Cam Robinson has been awful recently and may be in jeopardy)

Alexander is 70-80% fastball usage over last two years, and Yelich has been crushing those recently (its a 92mph sinker)

He's just a starter, with 18 innings pitched in 21 games so far, just nine strikeouts and a ton of hard contact

His slider when he's used it has actually been pretty good, but hopefully the lack of variety/off speed offerings are good for the likes of Turang and Wiemer

The shutout was a great morale booster for sure, I hope we can pull a nice series win out of SF for sure.

ps: i am new to the boards, i have questions about apparel, i assume that goes in off topic, but i am not able to post in there......?

One chore that has been hefty

is for the Brewers to rip a lefty, BUT

this lefty will come up empty, BECAUSE

TBD will outpitch him to victory!

Any chance we could make this a bullpen type game? Have an opener, then Teheren goes once through the order and get a couple from Miller and Wilson. I'd perfer this over than just hoping Teheren goes 5+.

I would imagine that's the plan. Teheran hasn't pitched in a hot minute.

Interesting lineup against a LHP. Caratini and Turang over Contreras and Taylor are probably the most interesting picks. Hopefully it works out.

Looks like this guy has been exclusively a reliever this year until today. So I'm guessing it's an opener situation and Counsell's banking on them switching to a right pretty quickly.

Just realized Alexander is an opener so this lineup makes more sense.

Yeah I just realized that after I posted. The lineup definitely makes way more sense knowing Alexander is likely just an opener.

Contreras must be nursing some kind of injury to keep him out of the lineup entirely two days in a row. Unless they're trying to let him reset in the midst of a slump

You're right my bad. I had Tuesday's game stuck in my head as the last game for whatever reason.

Contreras is slumping a bit, and we're facing a lefty starter tomorrow so makes sense.

I feel like Teheran is this warning harbinger sent by the front office as to why it's better to trade Woody and Burnes now rather than extend them...
