Well, one thing we now know:

With Haslem buying into ownership, the Bucks absolutely have that coveted 'F' You money all sports teams wish they had. Sheesh. That's some cheddah!

Griffin was making 4 million a year, Bud was making 8 million, so about 23 million a year

Craig Counsell's ears just perked up.

So this is sorta what it feels like to be a big market MLB team?

More like Texas A&M, Nebraska, and other places paying off football coaches.

Two super experienced and quality Assistant Coach gets by Rivers today. Joerger lost his luster as a head coach, for the time being, but historically he is seen as a really good tactical and X's and O's guy - a top notch assistant. Hard to understate how good of a get this could be (emphasis on could) be for Rivers who is notoriously not an X's and O's guy but more a big personality.

You then couple that with the experience and familiarity of Kalamian and the Bucks are ready to hit the ground running:

No more excuses from here.

I was wondering what they were going to do for assistant coaches... Just keep the same? Bring back Stotts?  Good to see them balance out skillsets.

What do each of them do? I'm sure I could google it in a few seconds, but it feels like it'd be asking what type of defense does Joe Barry run. It'd be a generic answer and I don't follow the NBA other than the Bucks close enough to know about assistant coaches.

Wondering if some of griffin’s assistants will be let go. If they add 2 you would think not all will be retained. I don’t think there is a max of assistants you can have on the bench though.

He won the press conference as expected. The crazy thing that I took away is that there will be only 4 full practices left this season.  Not sure how much he can do

For those in Milwaukee without Ballys, 10 games will be on wmlw this season

IMG_6217.jpeg

Of interest this article says the broadcasts will be "moved from Bally Sports Wisconsin" which I assume means they won't be aired on Bally Sports at all now. That concerned me because I do not receive Milwaukee broadcasts where I live, I get the Green Bay channels. But the very end of the articles says "Television stations outside of Milwaukee will be announced shortly." so I hope that means they are working on Green Bay and other markets in the state.

4 of the 10 dates are scheduled to be aired on ESPN, not sure if they are subject to black out, in the past they have sometimes blacked out the ESPN broadcast so that people had to watch the Bally's broadcast. Those 4 dates are March 1st, 8th, 20th and April 3rd.

Does anyone know if wmlw is on YouTube tv?

Big homecoming game for Dame tonight in PDX. I really hope he and the Bucks show out and make it a memorable 'W'. He'll be amongst friends and family. He'll have an extra day before their next WestCoast road game. I just want it to be special for the organization and, expressly, Dame in what has been a trying season for him dealing with the ongoing Divorce and custody things.

This team is just an absolute mess right now.

Yep. The worry was that swapping Jrue for Dame would be sacrificing defense, and that has come to fruition in a big way. When Dame isn't scorching hot, the Bucks are hurting, because the defense is so terrible that they can't stay with anyone. Other than Bobby, no one on that bench is a threat to put the ball in the basket, either.

I wonder how much of that IS actually Haslem. If he owns 33% of the team, is he actually paying more? IDK, but 23M for the HC this year and then nearly 16M the next 3, that's...a lot.

Bucks inquiring about Marcus Smart...

What in the hell is THAT gonna entail? I'm struggling to envision a scenario in which the Bucks end up with Smart, but man, that'd be the ultimate counter-counter punch to the Celtics.

Dame/Smart/Midds/Giannis/Brook

I can't say there's anyone else on the team I would make off-limits. Portis, Connaughton and Beauchamp would have to go+2nds.

Still doesn't make sense, but lets just work this out.

2nd unit

Payne/Beasley/AJ Green/Jackson Jr/Crowder?

It'll be fascinating to see if they can pull something like this off. Not Smart maybe, but a significant play making perimeter guard. play-making

That was a really good win at Dallas. Down 25 (!!) and win by double digits? We are seeing the difference already between Doc and Griffin. That was the most comfortable Dame has looked possibly all season. 30 points on 10-of-11 shots is absurd but the way in which he played was very reminiscent of Portland Dame. Nice to see the HC emphasize the two man game amongst two, I don't know, top 75 All Time players! This was a big win for the program.

And they follow it up with another flop. I don't get why Jackson Jr and Beauchamp aren't playing.

They need to give these young guys some run. ESPECIALLY on the 2nd night of a back-to-back in which Middleton isn't playing? It's just ridiculous to see both not on the floor at all.

If you say Jackson isn't playing due to the wrist...fine. He came in the final ~40 seconds, but that'd make sense. And Marjon? You're ruining his confidence.

I get it, no Brook, no Middleton and Utah got hot. But unless you've actually got this miracle trade for Smart lined up...which I won't buy, no matter how many reports there are the Bucks have "called about him," then you need to get the most out of the guys you have.
