Great, now Monasterio has a concussion. You literally can't make this stuff up. Anyone who wants to complain about where this team is at right now is just a negative nelly...

I, mean the one guy who has been hitting……gets knocked in the nose. and has to come out of the game……..come on!

Knocked in the nose? I missed it ...

Hopefully Monasterio will be OK. Part of the problem was that he was first up in the inning so they really didn’t have a chance to see if he could get straightened out from the poke in the nose.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Feel like this ump has had a tighter zone today but he's been super consistent the whole day. Really good performance from him so far.

I blame the athletic trainers

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Was just thinking something similar.  Its not about where the ball hits on some arbitrary square, its about the consistency of the umpire.

Today has been the inverse of the Toronto game for Houser. I even think the xBA against him is higher today than it was in Toronto.

I see .281 xBA against Toronto not .321
