With the # of pitches Devin and Payamps threw tonight, you could probably throw them again tomorrow in a close game given the off-day on Monday.

Could I make more on tomorrow night's Powerball or by going back in time and betting the Brewers would shut the Reds out 3 games in a row?

We were three games up in first, and we just lost our will. It was awful.

Would you recommend that the Brewers stand pat at the trade deadline to not rock the boat two years in a row?

First there was utter disbelief. Then there was a deflation. These guys are pros and aren't supposed to be bothered by such things, but I saw it. We all saw it.

It is proving to be a GREAT trade for Milwaukee - well done, management

I didn't see anything in that article about the trade taking the "will" of the team being the reason they didn't get red hot down the stretch - pretty much the bullpen treaded water despite all the moves, too many starters got injured and missed time to thin the staff out even more, and the team wasn't good enough offensively to overcome it.  Would they have fared better had they not traded Hader away and left him continue imploding for the next 6 weeks of the season blowing more wins than saving them?  Something tells me that would also look like taking the "will" of the team.

Or, was it better having Hader around at the back end of the Brewer bullpen to lose playoff games like the one that ended their 2021 playoff hopes?

We need players who can hit the baseball, if that's what you're asking.

Monasterio: .246/.352/.344

He's one of our better hitters! Let the man play!

When Anderson is back in the lineup he could be moved around if he can play the outfield. Perkins and Taylor are not going to give you much at the plate and he can spell Turang

The question is whether the Hader trade ditched the Brewers chances at the playoffs.

Stearns says yes. People who think otherwise much know more about Brewers baseball than David Stearns. Awesome.

Woopee?

It’s a pretty big deal because game 163 no longer exists. That means the Brewers win the tiebreaker against the Reds and they essentially gained two games in the standings with this victory.

You are correct that several players pouted for several days

Could you imagine if we can find/have some middle of the order hitters so a guy like miller would bat 7th like he should.    That would be a decent offense

yep - I don't see any team in the NL Central getting hot enough to run away with the division, so having as many tiebreakers in your favor in your pocket is a pretty big deal when it's likely either winning the division or not making the playoffs for the Brewers.

No, we literally weren't. Same exact win % from Memorial Day to the deadline as deadline to October.

Let’s’ face it there is absolutely NO WAY this can be determined or proven. Maybe just stick to reality. IT NEVER HAPPENED. Just a plain stupid argument.
