Oh hey the Shuckers bullpen is trying to blow another game. Man, they are in dire straits with that Pen. It's not a good picture down yonder.

Zamora error open the flood gates and Cam can’t get it done

Not shocked. Zamora is an erratic defender. He is entirely undependable at shortstop. It's absolutely maddening given how smooth he can make it look. But then he'll absolutely botch the most routine of plays - like just last night when they somehow chose not to record an error on an absolute routine dribbler to his right he biffed casually off the heel of his glove. It ended up scoring the Biscuits' first run.

Frelick starting to heat up and inch his way toward "call-up territory".

Yeah and I don’t think it will take much for the Brewers to call him up. Maybe within the next week or two if he keeps this up.

Serious back and forth affairs for Carolina and Biloxi tonight.

Carolina eked out a 9-7 win.

Biloxi coughed up 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning to fall behind 7-5, but now scored 3 in the top of the 9th inning to snatch the advantage back at 8-7. Tyler Black 2-run triple, then Jackson Chourio knocked him home with a single. Hold on Shuckers!!

Crazy back and forth game in Montgomery tonight. The Shuckers retake the lead in the 9th after Montgomery rallied in the 8th. Black and Chourio contributed to the comeback with hits in the 9th.

Patrick Dorrian’s 3rd error of the night prolongs Jacksonville’s life. 12-10, Nashville still needs to get one more out to escape. The Dorrian-SS thing was cute in an emergency or two. Not necessary now with Devanney in-house.

Good, they brought in Clayton Andrews to K the final batter.

Chances are they'll do *something* before the deadline regarding adding a bat. But if they don't it'll be real interesting to see what decisions are made.

Black is on every Brewer fans' radar.

As you said, Frelick is warming up.

Then there's everyones' favorite soap opera, As the Hiura Turns.

Urias could even hit his way back here.

I absolutely cannot wait for the Saturday minor league slate. Might be the best pitching day of the season.

AAA - Gasser

AA - Misiorowski

A+ - Woodruff on rehab

A - Henderson

Tayden Hall walked 3 more times tonite for Carolina, bringing his OBP up to a slowpitch-like .465. Also getting his hits. Hall is a big boy, if he can start to generate some power to go along with the approach that would be fun.

Don't forget Toro, who is sporting a .333 ISO in July and can make a convincing case to be the hot hand.

He's been productive down there, no denying that.

This is just a guess but I'd say the decision-makers don't trust his defense.

It sure feels to me a Frelick call up is imminent. My only question does he play RF or CF and move Weimer to RF?

If he got called up, it would be a tough call. I guess they could move Wiemer, but Joey is probably the superior CFer. Frelick in left, Yelich to DH? Taylor/Tapia platoon in right?

He could play either realistically, I think with Yelich performance in left this season, it's more likely they'll option Perkins or DFA Tapia. I'd maybe play Frelick CF and Joey in right but either would cover a lot of ground, some great outfield defense there

I think I'd leave Yelich in LF and not mess with him right now. I think we should call Frelick up now and give him 10 days or so before the trade deadline to see how he acclimates. If he looks the part, then maybe we only need to add an infield or DH bat at the deadline.
