I assuem Sal has gotten healthy and/or turned a corner in AAA.  I assume Tapia is gone, or maybe Perkins but I'd bet on Tapia.

Underwhelming numbers on the season obviously, but has gotten hot recently as the thumb injury has healed. Looking forward to seeing what he can do.

its happening the office GIFExciting news and hopefully it’s a shot to the offense’s arm.  I just hope the plan is let him play every day for 2 weeks before deciding what to do with him.

Question is does Wiemer go to RF due to his superior arm strength? I don't think they'll do it at this stage due to how elite Wiemer has been defensively but Frelick is no slouch in CF himself.

Interesting that it's Frelick getting the call vs. Tyler Black.

Both deserving options.

Would be nice if they at least promoted Black to AAA in place of Frelick.

Why would anyone other than Winker be gone?

5 OFs right now and they haven't shown an inkling so far to get rid of Winker. You would figure that Winker would be gone for someone like Hiura or Rowdy as a DH type bat.

I’m wondering if Weimer gets sent down here. Not necessarily hoping for it but it’d make sense.

If they do this for the sole purpose of manipulating service time it would be quite frustrating. He is one of the elite centerfielders in baseball with his glove alone.

My instinct was Tapia but it may be Perkins due to options.  I think Winker has hit a bit better lately and should be kept until the deadline.

He's been great this past week. Hopefully, he runs with this. He will surprise you with his glove and arm, to boot. Very underrated arm.

Perkins has been one of the best defensive OFs in baseball this season. You can't send him down.

I hope so. Send him down for 2 weeks to get that extra year of service time and then bring him back up

Good way to piss off the clubhouse

I doubt it.

Nah. Wiemer has an OPS of .633 in July & .678 on the season as a whole. It would be perfectly reasonable to send him down for 2 weeks to get right, similar to what they did for Turang

You doubt that manipulating service time, which has famously pissed off a number of MLB players in the past, would piss off the Brewers clubhouse that seemingly loves Wiemer? On top of that being a dumb baseball decision, it doesn't make sense to sour relations between the FO and clubhouse after last year's deadline issues.
