Looks, like Justin Wilson is done for the season.

Quite disappointing for the Brewers & extremely sad for Wilson after such a lengthy injury & recovery

One disappointing thing here is that the Braves have lost 6 of their last 7 games against teams other than the Brewers (White Sox, DBacks, and Red Sox.

With Strider missing both series this would seem to be a good time to be facing them, but the Brewers haven’t been able to take advantage.

Based on our starting pitching for this series, I thought tonight’s game was our best chance to beat Atlanta with Houser being a ground ball pitcher

Please tell me that Toro won't go back down when Santana is added tomorrow.

I’ve been suggesting Toro & Black for three weeks

I hope he remains for the next month or so & gets plenty of at bats

I also like his defensive versatility - over Hiura & Tellez

My whole point of that statement was, against lineups like the Braves, with now already 6 runs, you pretty much have to hold them to 2-3 to have any kind of chance. Scoring 7 runs with this offense seems impossible. Nights where your run prevention isn't great, you SHOULD be able to count on your offense, to pick it up, alas, they cannot.

We finally score 7 runs and are still 3 back.

I sure hope Arnold is still trying to make a deal for another bat.

Cards and Giants....5 time Champs from 2006-2014.  Not nearly as bad as the Crew this year, but they weren't all-star lineups by any means either.

Not nearly as bad as the Brewers may be the understatement of the year.

The Brewers are currently 14th in the NL in runs per game, and have scored just 1 run more than the Marlins.

The 5 World Champion Cardinals and Giants teams you mentioned were:

06 Cardinals 6th

10 Giants- 9th

11 Cardinals- 1st

12 Giants- 6th

14 Giants- 5th

So, 4 of those 5 teams were above league average in offense and the fifth was barely below league average in R/G.

Its going to be difficult for our starters all weekend.  This Braves offense is on a another level.

But their pitching isn't at that level.  With our pitching - tonight notwithstanding - we don't need the Braves' offense.

Weird thread/argument/discussion.  The Brewers have scored 7 runs! SEVEN! And people want to say we need to score more to actually compete.

Yes but this kind of scoring outburst by the Crew is the exception and not the rule.

LOL.  Somehow I missed this.  Great stuff...

Well this is indeed crummy. But in baseball you can't reasonably make a bunch of profound judgements based on a single game. You score 7 and give up 10 you always lose. Otherwise, if you score 7 you probably win. Come back tomorrow for more insanity.

Look,out for the Cubs.

Tauchman pulled what would have been a game winning homer for the Cardinals back in and the Cubs hot streak continues.
