Interesting, but they could be getting promoted too. With Adams, it could be too make room for Brock Wilkin.

It's just that tweet. Brown Jr and Hiura as rumored Brewers names.

Makes sense as a return. Brown Jr. gives them their piece for the future and Hiura replaces Eloy at DH.

Both were out of the lineup today.

I didn't even notice that. Now, that is interesting. Although, EBJ is on the IL anyways.

Depending on the return, I am okay with trading Lara, Brown, and/or Hiura... I've become attached to Adams, but there's a ton of variability/risk with his future outcomes.

If they traded Brown, I would guess it means that they are comfortable with Turang and their teenage middle infielders.

Yes. Hiura isn't though.

Hiura usually has off on Sunday’s.

Well, Brown has been out of the line-up since early July.  He's on the IL.

There's no games tomorrow. This could all just be a "get ready for trade OR promotion," including Hiura.

It's amusing to me to watch Mets fans just FREAK OUT at Buck keeping Vogie in the DH spot...while we keep rolling out Winker rather than giving Hiura a shot.

Imagine this team with the New York market....minus the ~400M going toward players salaries!

And/or they think Freddy Zamora is going to reign in the talented, but erratic glove. He swings a decent bat.

Of the four names you listed, I agree Adams is the one I'd most like to keep.

My bet is promotion is coming for both to end out season. Or it’s just my wishful thinking. I don’t want to lose Adams… Lara not as tough but still a no for me. Both their stocks I think will be higher in near future.

Yah, Adams currently has a 156 wRC+ in his age 19 season in low A. Of the 20 others who have posted a 150+ wRC+ in low A as an 18 or 19 year old since 2006, the only one not to make the majors is Edgar Quero, who is well on his way. Not all became stars or even solid starters, but some did, and all at least made it.

If you go to fangraphs and sort from 2006 to 2023 wRC+ >130 with over 300 Abs... check out how Adams ranks after only his 1st 2 seasons and 360 PAs. Only Matt LaPorta is ahead of him at 162. Braun behind him in 5th with 155, Brinson 6th at 150, Domingo Santana 7th 148, Huira 9th at 144, Khrush Davis 11th 142, Tyler Black 12th at 141, Nelson Cruz 14th. Lucroy and Weimer on list as well.

Adams is 19 in A ball putting up some of the best numbers we have seen (since they have tracked stats better) in our system.  We know LaPorta and Brison busted hard but they were once considered legit top 10-20 prospects in baseball and got use CC and Yeli. I think there is too much good going on with him and ceiling to trade right now. National people still are sleeping on him. Feel trading now would be such wasted value. He crumble at A+, AA, AAA and flame out but 100% worth waiting to find out.
