That's just brutal from Contreras. 3 very hittable pitches and he was totally overmatched. Him and Yelich both slumping at the same time is not ideal.

They both need a day off.

When your offense isn't great, you have to get at least one run with runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Counterpoint:  When your offense isn't great, you routinely fail to do things like score runs when you have 2nd and 3rd on and no outs.  Otherwise, one would have a better offense.

I wouldn't have hated a safety squeeze with Turang up

As often as we struggle at getting runs across in those situations  , why isn't CC doing something different ? I might be wrong , but it seemed he managed more when we didn't have the DH !

I made this comment on Friday. It’s amazing that for as few runs as the Brewers score, how often I end up being frustrated after a scoring inning because they didn’t get more.

That top of the fifth was the latest example.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

They always seem to get the minimum

When was the last time Turang tried to bunt and actually got it down in a helpful position.

Last night wasn’t like that. They didn’t have many chances and got 3 out of their best opportunity.

Freddie could be considered elite if he consistently could go seven innings , always has such a high pitch count !

Is there any starting pitcher that is going seven innings on the regular?  I just don't think that is an applicable standard anymore.
