@Joseph Zarr, @damuelle, @Mass Haas do any of you know how home seed is determined for the full season divisional playoff rounds? I'm seriously hoping it goes by overall season record and not 1st half hosts because Down East won the first half and Down East games aren't streamed...

My understanding is the home field advantage automatically goes to the first half winner. I should add, I am going off of this publication from last summer I kept book-marked. I am fairly confident in saying the only format changes that occurred were a three-game series before the championship series - and, I only know this is changed for Triple-A as the Sounds only played a head-to-head single elimination game vs. Durham last year in Vegas. It sucked. 😅

Well that absolutely sucks if true. That means no stream for the 3 game divisional playoff series.

@wiguy94: Just so you know I have sent a personal email to their Front Office inquiring about this. AND, their offices open Tuesday. I'll give them a call bright and early and see what I can discover. Stay tuned!

Yes. IF this remains the case (and there is a likelihood it could, as we know), what a punch to the gut that would be. First Playoff appearance in over 13 years. Break the longest tenured Minor League Playoff drought. AND, then, what, don't televise it?!?

Bayden Root (1 H | 3 K) and Blake Whiting (2 K) each add another scoreless frame to their ledgers to close out the 7-2 Carolina win.

Jose Chavez was credited with the win throwing two scoreless innings (1 BB | 2 K) of his own bringing his Mudcats ERA down to a devilish 6.66 on the season.

Chris Roller has presumably got to be some kind of defensive whiz in CF.

30th round pick by the Dodgers back in 2017 out of a community college, has never really hit, yet here we are six years later and dude has made it all the way to AAA playing the overwhelming majority of his innings in CF.

Benefit of INF Jadher Areinamo winning the 'Team MVP' award for the Mudcats is a cut-up of his Highlights. Man, I just love watching this young man play baseball.

Well, Montgomery definitely did their part in Game 6. They beat Brimingham 14-0 to close the series. They remain 0.5 G ahead of the Shuckers as we head to the final series. The tension is palpable!

2 series left for AA. We play Birmingham this coming week then we play Montgomery in the final week. Hopefully the extra game for them doesn’t end up mattering

Yes. I worded this wrong. I essentially mean that Home series awaits. Hopefully, we obliterate these Barrons.😅

In terms of the 'series before the series', we certainly have the upper hand. Montgomery has to play Chattanooga who are 4 G over 0.500. They are the Leaders for that Divisional 2nd Half and lead Rocket City by 4 G. They'll have plenty to play for. Birmingham is in a tailspin and are 15 G under. Let's lay some more wood!

I’ve said before that Areinamo’s batted ball profile at Arizona last season was a clinic on how to succeed without a lot of home run power. Pure line drive hitter. Used all fields. Took walks and rarely struck out. Outside of the walks, all of that was still there. Really hopeful he can keep making good contact as he moves up the ladder.
