don't like this matchup could be down 1 -0 in this series

Severino's ERA of nearly 7 is causing that much anxiety? Rea certainly isn't a world-beater, but he's kept the team in games for the most part.

What does his season ERA have to do with anything?

Before his last start at Houston, his previous two starts he went 6.2 and 7 innings giving up zero earned runs.

He had a clunker in his last start at Houston, but the two previous he was lights out!

I think there is legit concern about this match-up.

As we saw against the Pirates, there is legit concern with any matchup right now. On paper, the Brewers are the better team and "should" win this game. But they gotta show up.

The default guideline for posting on this site is to focus on the Brewers' weaknesses, not the opponents'.

Everytime the Brewers play the Yankees, I am taken back to this day:

My brother took me for my birthday, Boomer Scott hit a grand slam, and it remains one of my fondest memories. My mom gave us enough money that we could get the $5.75 seats and sit in the lower level.

Those two starts appear to be the exception not the norm, I would agree that we should focus on the season. He hasn't been the same since the lat strain early in the season. The Brewers have certainly shown the ability to score minimal runs but I like the chances for the offense today. We'll see if Rea will hold up his end however.

Just need Rea to avoid the multi-run HR today. When he keeps the HR to the solo HR department he tends to give the Brewers a solid chance of winning.

Pretty sure there were a lot of people who didn't care for the matchup the last time Rea took the hill, too.

I'll keep beating the same drum. It ain't who they're playing, but HOW.

DBacks get a runner on third with none out in the first and respond with 3 Ks, including a gift third strike to the last hitter.

Much like watching the Brewers.

I was there that day and remember vividly Boomer’s line drive blast to the back of the bleachers.

There were several memorable wins over the Yankees at County Stadium in the 70’s.

Some times it’s not who you play but when you play them.

Are the Brewers really the better team on paper if you consider the pitching matchup, how the Yankees have played with and without Judge in the lineup, and that the Yankees have won 8 of their last 10?

Whet do the oddsmakers say? Do they think the Brewers should win and make them the betting favorite?

IMHO this will be a tough series and I would take 2 out of 3 happily. Hopefully the DBacks can take at least one more from the Cubs and the Brewers will get out of the weekend with no less than a 2 game lead.

Double no  hitter through 4 at Wrigley.

Taillon...Taillon? has a no-hitter through five? Sure. Why not?

Two out single in the 6th breaks a string of 17 straight retired, but Tallion still has a shutout through 6.

Would be a shame for the DBacks to waste a solid start from Gallen with unfavorable matchups for AZ the next two days.
