How’s Elvis doing?    Can he get an inning in before playoffs?

Not eligible to come off the IL until the Monday after the season ends so won’t be pitching in this series. He’s been throwing bullpens. They said on the broadcast yesterday he threw a simulated inning before the game.

I'm guessing Boushley's gone for Lauer. He's not going to be available anymore.

Boushley and Andrews are both likely optioned for Lauer and Megill coming off the restricted list

Words can not express how absolutely and utterly awesome that night and result was for Caleb and his friends and family.

That was storybook stuff right there. What a moment. What a beautiful bit of MLB debut work to showcase to the rest of the League, as well for his upcoming FA. That was not an ideal scenario for a first outing. He rose to the occasion and then some. It felt so rewarding to see him get that result after being the steady workhorse and 'Mr. Always Available' for Sweet and his staff in Nashville. People may not remember: Tho he didn't have the 2023 Triple-A season he would have liked (marred by his poor final month plus), he was the chosen starter for Nashville in last year's Vegas Semi-Final game vs Durham.

Rest everybody, let's get some days off before the Marlins come to town (which is overwhelmingly likely, of all the outcomes we could have predicted).

I believe the Dbacks are our most likely opponent at this point. They're in a virtual tie with the Marlins due to the Marlins' likely W in NY and the Marlins hold the tiebreaker. Not to mention they face a desperate Astros team while the Marlins get the Pirates. Which wouldn't be the worst thing imo considering Gallen is unavailable for Game 1, the most important game of the series.

Reds aren't dead either. If they win these last two vs. the Cardinals, who have checked out as we all know, and the Astros do the same to the Dbacks, they're in and come to Milwaukee.

I bet they would pitch gallen on three days rest

I doubt it. Because they'd then have to do the same with Merrill Kelly. It's smarter for them to have Gallen and Kelly on full rest in games 2 and 3.

Interesting enough for Brewers by skipping Woody and Freddy this weekend could you mess with the order and start Woody game one and if you win Freddy game 2? You then have Corbin for game 3 or game 1 in LA. He could then have 2 starts against the Dodgers?

I've put a lot of thought into this and...

*shrugs*

I'm not even sure which of the three starters is most likely to have a shut-down start at this point. Draw a name out of a hat. Sure, Burnes has the pedigree but Woodruff has been ridiculously good this year and Peralta has been ridiculously good for the past couple of months.

I'm hesitant to screw around with the pitchers. Just let stay on schedule imo.

Too late.  Freddy is going to be pitching on strange rest unless they give him a BP/simulated game today and start Miley in game one. I heard that Woodruff pitched a simulated game yesterday.  If Burnes and Woody are to stay on their 5 day rest schedule then they would be scheduled for games 2 and 3 respectively.  I hope this is the case and that Freddy starts game 1.
