Looking forward to seeing how MU stacks up in the Maui Invitational. 3 of the #1 seeds in the latest ESPN bracketology is in the tourney. Besides Chaminade, every team but Syracuse is projected to be in the field of 68.

So does this mean that not only are we Wisconsin's Team, we're America's Team too?

According to some here Marquette isn’t even a Wisconsin team, so idk

I would think todays winner will be #1 next week. Beating #1 and #2 should be enough for MU to hop Zona.

They still have to play Purdue

Yeah but they're Badger fans and they don't matter.

You seem to post as much about the Badgers and their fans as you do about Marquette.

Yes, I meant Purdue would also be #1 if they win. Meaningless ranking of course I just thought it's probably not often teams go head to head with #1 at stake in regular season.

It's bad enough we have no answer for Edey, but then sink a 70 foot buzzer beater? Hope Smart has some adjustments during halftime.

They were down by 12 against ucla also. I’d like for them to win but it honestly isn’t a huge deal. Beating Kansas was the mission, this is a bonus

It did. Damn. Good game though. I think this team made a statement these past three days though. Sometimes an early season loss is a late season win. The experience will pay off.

They may have lost, but they made a statement this week that they are going to be a factor in late March and early April. The increase in their sos will help and they will move up to at least 3 on Monday in the rankings.

they lost by 3 which was a 70ft halftime prayer. I won’t get too upset about todays results

Not sure I am following your logic. Marquette is like the most experienced roster and about identical to the roster as last year. This is usually something you would say if the team was full of freshman/transfers. They are the polar opposite.

For a final four contender like Marquette the result today doesn’t really matter, especially since they beat Kansas.

Purdue is playing like they have something to prove this year, best to cross paths with them in November and not when it matters.

So they can stop learning now?
