Burnes/Adames in the same deal?

MLB.com had an article from today that said the following:

"The Brewers could make things really interesting if they trade Corbin Burnes and/or Willy Adames, with one executive speculating that the Dodgers could make an attempt to land both in the same deal."

While unlikely, it got me wondering what the Dodgers could possibly put together to get this done. What do you guys think?

Assuming the baseball trade values site is somewhat accurate, the Brewers could get:

Emmett Sheehan, SP
Nick Frasso, SP
River Ryan, SP

The Dodgers have the young pitching the Brewers need.

Mark Feinsand of MLB.com suggests that the Dodgers could try to acquire both RHP Corbin Burnes and SS Willy Adames in a trade with the Brewers.

The Dodgers need for starting pitching is well known, with many rumors having them involved in the bidding wars for both Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. However, the Dodgers could also attempt to get creative with a trade. Feinsand quotes an MLB executive who suggests that the Dodgers could attempt to land both Burnes and Adames in a deal with the Brewers. Both players will be eligible for free agency after the season, and there’s some speculation that the Brewers are entering a rebuilding phase, so neither player is untouchable. In addition to needing starting pitching, the Dodgers are currently set to start Gavin Lux at shortstop next season, so the fit is there for both sides. However, that often doesn’t mean a deal is imminent.

IF we're trading Corbin to Dodgers, really hope the talks start with Pepiot and Sheehan... Those two could really help form a nice rotation with Peralta, Ashby and Gasser.

Peralta

Ashby

Sheehan

Pepiot

Gasser

With Miso and Carlos Rodriguez waiting in Nashville... ********!

Sheehan popped up out of nowhere on Dodgers prospect lists in 2 yrs.  He would make logical sense in a headline of the deal.  I don't know about both since both are active SP for the Dodgers. That removes 2 for 1 from their rotation.

Miguel Vargas makes sense if you're thinking 1b with versatility and believe his minors stats will show up as he gains more experience in to his prime.  Michael Bush fits the same mold. So two of the same.  Rh vs LH.  Vargas is younger with more ML exp. Bush already 26 takes him well past 30 with team control.

Trade value Sheehan and Bush ahead.

Pepiot and Vargas about same.  Doesn't really require a 3rd player. Salary could increase or decrease the Brewers surplus values.

There are oodles of throw ins that would sweeten it on Milw's side.  Take johendry Vargas for example. 18yr rok class international signing SS.  Lotto ticket.

Two LH SP just below Vargas dodger rankings, Kopp and Bruns, fit in value added late in trade with upside.

Yeah for me if I’m trading Burnes to the LAD I’m wanting Sheehan as the headliner. He’s better than Pepiot and would give MKE a #2/3 for the next 6 seasons.

The LAD would never part with both of Pepiot-Sheehan, so Sheehan it should be. I’d even go with Vargas the 17 yr old SS as the 2nd piece and leave it at that, giving my farm as good a group of teenagers as there is in baseball.

Im not trading Burnes to LA unless I get Sheehan. Period. I’ll keep him for his ‘24 performance and the pick otherwise.

Sheehan replaces Burnes in the ‘24 rotation as well as any one player in baseball that I can think of that would be possible as a trade return.

We would get more separate but if it meant getting a second top tier talent I'd be in. Say we could get Sheehan, Vivas, and Kopp for Burnes if we could get Sheehan, Vargas, and Kopp for Burnes and Adames sign me up.

Lux is another lefty bat. We already have Turang, Block, Yelich,  Mitchell, and Frelick hitting from the left side. I’d much rather have Miguel Vargas. Sheehan, Vargas, and Kopp sounds very feasible.

Does Gavin Lux mean anything for us?

Less team control faster increases in salary. And his ceiling seems quite low vs the ceiling and control you would hope to find out of dealing the caliber Dodgers could get out of Burnes or Adames. Want nothing back in return like Lux who would reduce the ceiling value the Brewers should be seeking like in Sheehan.
