There was still 27 seconds left on the clock. Mahomes could've led two game winning drives with that much time.

That's why taking that time out when he did was really stupid

Derek Carr did the same thing in getting Olave concussed again, much like what Love did with Watson earlier this year. I didn't see the play but I assume the Vikings were in zone coverage. Quarterbacks need to learn not to throw balls to receivers running through the middle like that. Flacco is old enough to know better.

Of all the things Rodgers did that...were amazing just throwing the ball, his ability to throw WRs away from contract was incredible. To throw the ball behind a crosser so he's stopping or his momentum is taking him away from the safety that's driving or...LB.

Obviously there were SOME bad examples, and Rodgers threw the ball over the middle at a far lower rate than the likes of Brees, Manning or Brady, but still...

I gotta say, in all my years...in all my random iterations...this the first 'douche nozzle' I've witnessed.

Really? First timer? LOL...well, that's nice. I've spent too much time on Twitter in the past few weeks. Not sure there's an insult I haven't heard at this point!

No argument from me there.

I think it was a panic, spur of the moment decision, but still, that's your job as HC. Have to be thinking one step ahead. You ideally want to leave Mahomes less than 10 seconds. Seriously, even 15 can be too much.

Get up to the line, keep the timeout in your pocket, sneak with Mayfield, would have gotten much closer to that target time. It's also nice to have the timeout in your pocket in case something happens with a running clock and you need it to stop the clock and avoid a 10 second runoff.

Had they scored with 10 seconds left or so, they would probably have gone for 2. Or maybe not, but I think it would have been the more logical call with less time remaining when you're pretty sure the 2 is either going to win or lose you the game.

I'm so annoyed that the Bengals went for 2. I really wanted overtime in arguably the best Thursday night football game I've ever seen.

One legitimate argument you could make for NOT going for 2 is that the referees tend to swallow their whistles more so than usual on the final plays with the game on the line.

I think going for 2 in those situations is almost always a 50/50 and if you miss it you get criticized but if you don't go for it and lose you also get criticized.

The way both offenses were playing, I would have gone for it. Wouldn't like my chances if I didn't win the toss in OT.

Forgot there was even a game on. I hate Thursday football. And then when it's your team that plays you're actually expected to be productive come Sunday.

I think the clock is about to strike midnight on the Bears, and possibly the Vikings.

Not sure what you are talking about with the Bears.  Unless you were drinking the cool aide.  Most Bears fans I know were hoping for a 7-10 or 8-9 season this year and realistically that is where they were and are.  Not sure what this strike midnight means.  They have played good against some bad teams but haven't really played all that well against average or above average teams.  Also nearly their whole starting OL is injured and they are missing their best OL in Wright for some time now.  The Bears were never going to be a contending team.  The Vikings to me are still a mystery as they are not as good as their record indicates they are.

They were 4-2 three weeks ago, and those Bears fans that were hoping for a 7 or 8 win season raised their expectations and started touting Williams as OROY. You are what your record says you are.

You know it's bad when you're getting spanked at home by New England.

That being said, won't be taking them lightly next week. We need to get back to playing our good football.

If I were a betting man, I'd put money on the bears not winning another game.

Yeah I was wrong. The bears are the worst team in the division by a country mile.

Kansas City on the cusp of possibly maybe losing to Denver.

And they block a 35 yard game winning FG to stay undefeated. Because why not.

I didn't know what Jacksonville was thinking in the last 2 minutes. I haven't seen the INT yet, but seems like a dumb attempt, and the personal foul giving the Vikings the first down after the third down stop was just brain dead bad.

It's a shame washington might not get the first down because we just don't have a good camera view to prove the ball at or passed the marker, because looking at the replays I'm fairly confident they had it.

Listening to the CHGO postgame podcast on youtube and one of them is calling for Eberflus and the OC to be fired and if they don't tomorrow, the Packers will kick their tails.

Gonna go out on a limb and say the Jets' win last week was a fluke and not in fact a sign of the Aaron Rodgers playoff comeback tour in full swing.

Yeah, they're just a bad team. Their softer schedule doesn't matter because they are just bad.

Vikings stink too, obviously not as bad, but, at this point I think it's probably better off they make the playoffs and keep someone actually good that gets hot, out of it.
