It would be pretty funny if the Bears offered Ben Johnson their HC job and he said, “nah.” That dude should probably have half a dozen offers.

Lot of whistle swallowing in Detroit. Again. Bet the LB Campbell finds a fine slip in the mail this week.

Then the Lions will probably sign him, he’ll have a huge game against us in the playoffs, and gloat about how he got his revenge on us.

I doubt he plays another down of football again unless it's for some poverty franchise.

To be clear, I meant Lions LB Jack Campbell, who hit a sliding Allen in the head with his helmet and didn’t draw a flag somehow.

De’vondre Campbell is a different mess altogether.

It’s obviously not a good look at all, but Diontae Johnson did the same thing a week or two prior with the Ravens and all he got was a 1 game team suspension. I’m struggling to understand what the difference between the two incidents was and why one is being treated as so much greater of a crime.

Bass, how do you miss a 23 yard FG in a dome?

You can’t just kick straight from the hashmark that you’re on. You have to aim it toward the actual uprights.

The 49ers suck and need a scapegoat.

At least we'll get a couple weeks of people shutting up about the Lions being invincible as if they are some generationally dominant team.

There is a very real possibility they don't even win the division.

Wow that was as bad a play by a safety as you will ever see in the NFL on the TD by Saint Brown.

Gees, if you're not going to take your first time out until you get to goal to go, why not use one before the Bills field goal? Campbell was watching Eberflus too much on Thanksgiving.

who was saying that?  I do think the injuries on D are going to be really hard to overcome. They'll have to score their way to the super bowl. I think Philly is a bit better right now overall.

I will say that I loved Detroit's uniforms today.  That helmet was really sharp.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

and now Montgomery is out with an MCL and McNeil is out for the year with an ACL.

Shhhhhh, the only thing that could make the Lions discourse more insufferable is a deluge of “the Lions are in trouble/nO oNe bElIevEs iN uS” takes.

But in all seriousness, I agree. Philly should be no worse than a coin flip against Detroit even in Ford field right now, and I’m not sure I’d pick the Lions with all these injuries against any team likely to be a top-6 seed in the NFC. They’re really hurting.

Losing Montgomery really hurts their offense - it means Gibbs shoulders alot more of the load than he probably is capable of down the stretch and risks him getting injured, too.  And their defense is really thinning out...

Carlton Davis is out indefinitely and Khalil Dorsey done for the year as well. The Lions are cooked. They might not even win the division at this point and are looking at a first round exit regardless of where they finish.
