I'm really hoping I can catch this game, or at least part of it, because I'm more interested in watching Hall than anyone else on the team. His development is absolutely critical for the new-look Brewers.

The DL Hall hype train might have been a bit over done.

The issue with Hall seems to be, due to his staggering drop in velo over the past 2 years, he still thinks he can pitch throwing his fastball over the plate. I know his fastball has a good profile, but obviously not at this speed. And I don’t want to hear anybody say its about going from the bullpen to starting; he was drafted as a starting pitcher and was always mid to high 90s as a STARTER. Pitching in the bullpen is a relatively new development in his career.

Now he appears to have below average fastball velo, and even when he has the batter behind in the count, he’s pitching to contact with his fastball. That needs to change. I know that long inning he had a lot of bad luck, a ton actually, but it is downright STUNNING how he simply cannot get swing and miss when he needs it.

I imagine he is relatively mentally weak, and a bullpen roll is a much better fit so he doesn’t have to think so much and can just let it rip.

I think one Murph’s worst decision this season so far (in an otherwise good decision making performance) catching Gary Sanchez instead of William is a terrible move for someone like Hall who is going to need a ton of coaching throughout the game, and not have phantom passed balls and the like. Someone like Rea or Miley will be able to deal with Sanchez’s short comings much better.

If that's all the fastball he's got then he either needs to become Miley's understudy or develop a goofy delivery like Milner.

I still can't understand why we were so eager to set Houser free. The guy was no great shakes but cutting him loose then spending 8 million dollars on Junis who is basically Houser never made sense to me. Houser might be our two easily right now.
