That at bat by black is the thing that I preach about the most with the big front leg lift as he was late getting it on the ground and that's why he didn't square that up. 

Never got two pitches in a row with the anywhere near the same velocity and that's the way he's going to be treated routinely.

For all the great outfield plays last year, it's surprising that Frelick has stunk defensively this year.

Frelick cost us 2 runs+. Great play by Ortiz on the last one, I'm not mad at that error. Colin getting screwed.

I'm going to turn it off and see if that'll fix their mojo. Every time I've turned them on this year they stunk.

If you can't hit you better be able to field. Another mystery is why exactly is Black hitting 3? It reminds me of when Frelick came up and hit cleanup. Takes forever to get here then they throw you in to the middle of the order.

We just have to understand this is a transition year.  Better hope these rookies start to pick it up or it might be worse than that.

Maybe the analytics say he’s great but I’ve never been impressed with Frelick’s defense. 

He seems to make some plays look more difficult than they have to be.

Two runs feels like a lot the way they have been looking at the plate lately. Aside from some long balls, doesn't feel like this team drives the ball with any consistency. The outfielders in particular look tired like their swings don't have much leg behind them. Hopefully they can prove me wrong.

Its not just the two runs.  This is a carbon copy of last year.  Putrid AB after putrid AB.

Still early in his career but Frelick has been a disappointment so far…..IMO
