I just don't understand why we have a cleanup hitter who is striking out 50 percent of the time. Just put Perkins there so at least the ball is in play. You would score more runs.

I had zero problem with that. It was a poor bunt, but that doesn't bother me any more than someone swinging away & popping up or striking out. Good idea, bad execution. He reaches & I doubt Jansen can keep him from stealing 2nd base, thus giving the top of the order a chance to tie it w/a single.

Overall though, the 9th looked pathetic vs Jansen. Back-to-back Ks on nothing that was even close to unhittable. He was getting plenty of the plate.

I get on him a lot, but today was especially unforgettable. 

If I had a visual template for Willy, it would be in the 1st inning. Looking toward the bench, motioning about the sun or high sky or whatever, all the while with his shades perched on top of his cap. Then afterward, leaving them there.

AFA I can tell Martin has the attitude that he's 37 years old & therefore you can't bunt on him, like this is a rec league or something. If it was me I'd have had Yelich drag one past him for a hit & RBI, then have Berry pull a bottle of Geritol out of his back pocket & hand it to him.
