Looks like we may have been gameday'd in the ACL game because it's now showing as a 6-6 game and heading to extras.

I kind of wish they had just lost in 9 because this 10th inning has been rough. It's 11-6 D-backs with 0 outs in the 10th.

Appears as though the ACL stringer made an oopsie and it turns out Pedro Ibarguen was the lead off hitter for the Zona Crew bottom of six.

Pedro singled, and Eric Bitonti singled and Luiyin Alastre RBI singled, and then a Tyler Rodriguez ground out moved the runners to 2nd & 3rd with a wild pitch plating the second run of the inning.

Eric Prado worked a perfect frame top of seven adding another strikeout to the back of his baseball card

Nice to see Prado get his second straight good outing. Hopefully something has clicked for him.

Those numbers are SO much fun to read, especially the walks being reigned in.

CF, 1B, CF..........would love to know the idea behind Tyler Black channeling his inner Ernesto Martinez lately. HAS to be someone, somewhere inquiring as to his OF plausibility, right?

Nah, I think they're just trying to find somewhere for him to play. Mitchell is struggling..if he can play OF, he could get ABs with the Brewers when Yelly DHs.

It COULD be another team, but it could just be versatility.

They've moved him all over. LF is probably the best position for him outside of 1B, but he didn't look like a butcher at 2B either.

I don't think we'll ever see him at 2B save for an emergency, but I agree LF is preferable to CF for him at least on paper.

Boy would that be a disappointing development re Mitchell if Black were to slip out to the OF cold turkey & wind up acing Mitchell out of PT. With the lousy bat-to-ball contact so far, the narrative is "He's missed so much time, this is like spring training for him". It's possible. He'll be given time to get better I'm sure.

If Mitchell does in fact need some spring training time, why is it being given at the MLB level.  Send the guy down to AAA for a few weeks to right the ship.  He isn't helping the Brewers or himself with the poor showing so far.

Mitchell played 12 games at AAA and had an OPS of > 1.000. So he did have a mini ramp up and looked good in a small # of games (maybe not quite spring training by still a good number). He may not do much better in AAA.  He is either off with timing or just still adjusting to big league pitching.
He is still struggling mightily but not sure how to improve it - more practice, time with coaches/video etc. Less regular playing time to set up better match ups?

Well, not now, but in the future I think he could play 2B. You wouldn't play him ahead of Turang.

As for Mitchell...I don't know. He's either rusty or just not very good. Or pressing. But we're not playing for consolation prizes, so maybe send him down, Mitchell back up. I like Yelly as the DH.
