Batting lead off ahead of everyone else on that stacked Team 1 roster is a guy who turned 17 only five days ago and is making his fourth appearance of the year. Hits a double, thrown out stretching it to a triple. Yeesh.

MLB.com has Handlefry Encarnacion as a $400k signing bonus, so he’s not nothing.

*ANOTHER EDIT* Eff it. Call an audible and draft only high school pitchers to team up with this class of position guys.

Gameday'd 2 days in a row. DSL Brewers 1 won 8-4 not 9-4

With the (19-8) DSL Crew's 8-4 victory today, they have opened up a 1.5 G lead over the second place DSL Orioles Orange. They are now winners of nine straight games. Whewwww. What an impressive group and what an impressive run.

Bjorn Johnson with the longest start of his professional career today going 4 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 SO.

It's nice to see Johnson and Prado put their early season struggles aside down the stretch. That is two solid outings in a row for Johnson as well.

RHP Bishop Letson (correction: Josh Knoth) gets the start for Low-A Carolina in the first game of today’s doubleheader at Fredericksburg, with Carolina hoping to reverse their Thursday twinbill defeat.

It’s 22-year old RHP Logan Henderson’s (1.75 ERA with 34 Ks in 25.2 IP) turn to dominate (and clinch a series win) for AA Biloxi at Chattanooga. LF Adam Hall’s hitting streak is up to 11 games.

I haven't been following the minors as close as I'd like to this season. Just glanced at the Carolina box score. How are these guys 16 games over 500? I understand Pratt is at the futures game but they have just 3 guys over a 700 ops in the lineup. Good pitching/fielding? Kind of shocking to see, lol

AAA Nashville is up 4-0 in their home series against the woeful Cubs and have RHP Taylor Clarke (5.30 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 7.6 K/9 in 35.2 IP) on the mound tonight. DH/OF Brewer Hicklen has a 15-game on-base streak.

I was curious so I looked it up and Fredericksburg have probably the oldest team in the Carolina League. Their position players are about a year older than Carolina's position players and their pitchers are 2 years older than Carolina's pitchers

20-year old RHP Yujanyer Herrera is on a solid 6-game run (2.35 ERA with 29 Ks in 30,2 IP) for High-A Wisconsin, who’s aiming for a 5-0 home series lead over West Michigan and welcomes RHP Devin Williams for rehab relief work.

It’s tougher sledding now without Tayden Hall, Juan Baez, Kay-Lan Nicasia, Yorman Galindez. And now Pratt at the Futures Game.

They need Di Turi, Guilarte and Castillo to step up.

Walling misplays a grounder (can't believe it was ruled a single) and it's 3-2 Nationals.

Walling looks like a player who was promoted to Low-A and asked to play a position he never played. He has not been very good at 1B - and, I don't blame him...he literally has zero experience there.

I’m assuming we’ve the correct lineup card for Game 2 of Carolina’s doubleheader, with RHP Bishop Letson on the mound. C Satchell Norman and LF Luis Castillo enter for D. Garcia and Diaz. The Mudcats trail the series in Fredericksburg 3-1.

Kind of an odd place to pull Letson, hope he is ok

First time he's pitched into the 6th inning this year and most pitches he's thrown on the season. Not that odd to see him removed. Was a normal pitching change watching it. No trainer. Reliever was ready.
