If Hiura gets any offer from a foreign league I would take the cash if I were him. Go rebuild your career and get another chance in a few years when you've put up monster numbers elsewhere.

I'm thinking that maybe didn't come from Murphy and he just did that on his own because he's slumping so badly.

I think you're probably right. Either way, he's a professional and he needs to know better. Could have tried that anytime and you pick the most hitter of hitters counts to do it?
